Mohamed Salah insisted that he had always seen no progress in negotiations on a new contract with Liverpool while he was starting to think about his stay in Anfield during the past.

Salah’s current agreement expires at the end of the season and, despite the persistent public pressures of Egyptian, no extension has been agreed, Liverpool suspected of having concerns about making a long -term financial commitment to the players approaching its 33rd anniversary.

In a recent interview with TNT SPORTSWe asked Salah if he had had updates on his future, and he could do nothing but shake his head and smile.

“In a very polished way!” Salah said of his reaction.

Quinzé on the legacy he hopes to leave behind, Salah offered an emotional response when he admitted that he hoped that fans will remember him as a player who gave everything to the team and the city.

“I want fans to remember that I have given everything to the fans, I gave everything to the city,” he continued.

“I was here, I was not lazy, I just enjoyed my football and everything gave me. I think that’s what it is – they give you love and you have a link with them because you give yourself everything. I just want them to remember that I was here for eight years or something else – and I gave everything.

“Being here for eight years is not something that I want for granted. Playing in a high -level club like Liverpool, fighting for each trophy each year, is incredible. I feel like I am in very good shape and try to make sure that I am only improving but that the players around me also improve.”
