Al Hilal manager Jorge Jesus admitted that he would like sign Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah this summer.
Salah’s contract in Anfield has entered its last five months and there is not yet a sign of extension, despite pressure from the Egyptian public in order to accelerate an agreement.
Saudi officials have been pursuing Salah’s signing for years, with Al Hilal now the most likely destination after Neymar’s surprise departure, and the Jesus team has recently been supported to conclude an agreement if the prolific attacker ends up leaving Liverpool.
In an interview Canal11Jesus were asked if Salah could be the next superstar to take his talents to Al Hilal, and he did not hide his desire to obtain an agreement on the line.
“I would like that,” said Jesus. “But if he wants … I don’t know.
“Salah is a great player, he has a way of playing that would suit our team, but I don’t know.”
Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, has also publicly urged his talisman to put the pen on paper, but the contract of contract continues and the former teammate of Salah, Dejan Lovren, recently accused Anfield decision -makers of lacking respect to Egyptian.
