Enzo Maresca admitted that Chelsea would be likely to be without a non-madueke winger for “a moment” after drinking with an ischi-leg injury At the start of Friday’s defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion.
A bursting in the right wing, 21 minutes in terms of end, Madueke holding his hamstrings and it immediately became clear that he could not continue, lodging the ground six minutes before Brighton opens the scoring in their 3-0 convincing victory.
It was a miserable evening for Chelsea and Maresca admitted after the match that Madueke’s injury had more embittered the atmosphere.
“Noni unfortunately has a problem with the hamstrings and will be absent for a while,” confirmed the boss of Chelsea.
There were, at least, positive news on the right back Malo Gusto, who left the second half with a blow.
“Malo is fine,” said Maresca fans.
Madueke joins Nicolas Jackson and Marcu Guiu on the treatment table which, when added to the suspension of Mykhailo Mudryk, leaves Chelsea incredibly limited when it comes to attack options.
Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto and Tyrique George, 19, are the only natural wingers available for Maresca, who also works without natural attackers. Christopher Nkunku materialized with Cole Palmer in a false experience of Nine who failed to inspire a single shot on the target against Brighton on Friday.
