Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea will lock the horns for the second time in six days Friday evening when the couple meet in the Premier League.
The Seagulls were victorious in the fourth round duel of the FA Cup last weekend, Kaoru Mitoma marking the winning goal to stack more misery on the blues. The Enzo Maresca team has now won only three of their last ten games, none of which is far from the comfort of Stamford Bridge.
Despite their recent frustrations, Chelsea climbed to fourth place in the Premier League table when they beat West Ham United in their last League match. Victory over the southern coast will guarantee that there are another week there.
Brighton hopes to absorb the worship of the local crowd on Valentine’s Day, aimed at recovering from successive premier League defeats-including humiliation 7-0 at Nottingham Forest. If they guarantee the three points on Friday, they would move to the eighth before the weekend matches.
Here is 90 minutes Confrontation guide.

Brighton transpires on the physical form of the full central rear Lewis Dunk before the return of Chelsea to the Amex stadium, the defender undergoing a rib injury in the duel of the FA Cup last weekend. It is a doubt for Friday.
Mats Wieffer could return from an injury against the blues, however, having been missing since Christmas with a thigh injury.
Jason Steele’s quintet, Pervis Estupinan, Ferdi Kadioglu, Igor and James Milner should all miss.
BRIGHTON PROVIDED THE VS Chelsea programming (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Veltman, Van Hecke, Webster, Lamptey; Baleba, Ayari; MINTEH, Rutter, Mitoma; Pedro.
Chelsea was imposed on a significant injury with Nicolas Jackson who should be absent before the international break in March with a hamstring injury. Stronger Marc Guiu is also missing in the foreseeable future after having undergone the same problem as the International of Senegal.
The blues are already without Mykhailo Mudryk in their line forward after failing a drug test and were then suspended, while Romeo Lavia, Benoit Badiashiles and Wesley Fofana are all absent in the defensive half of the field.
Robert Sanchez, Marc Cucurella and Moises Caicedo all returned to the Amex stadium last Saturday and the last two should start again this Friday. However, Filip Jorgensen could return between the sticks.
Chelsea predicted the VS Brighton programming (4-2-3-1): Jorgensen; James, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Sancho; Nkunku.
Chelsea was disappointed with their confrontation with Brighton last weekend and looked to be amazed in defeat on the south coast. With Jackson and Guiu stuck in the processing room of the next few weeks, it is unlikely that things will be radically improving for maresca men.
Brighton was incoherent under Fabian Hurzeler, but has shown their quality against Chelsea the last time and will be eager to rely on an essential confidence coupe. They have the quality of attack to punish a fleeing back line and could secure exactly the same score that saw them pass to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Chelsea
