Barcelona decided to give her aging to the center-center of Robert Lewandowski a contract extension of one year, according to a report in Spain.
The prolific post will be 37 years old in August, but enjoyed the best campaign of his brief career in Barcelona. After leading the Catalan giants to the title 2022/23 under Xavi Hernandez, Lewandowski endured a significant drop in performance and production last season.
However, the arrival of Hansi Flick – the former manager of Bayern Munich from Lewandowski – revitalized the venerated striker. By reshaping the pressing scheme of Barcelona, essentially obtaining tireless wingers to race from Lewandowski for him, Flick found the biological clock of the career of his new number.
The powers in Catalonia are of the same opinion and have decided to offer Lewandowski a new agreement which extends until 2027, by SPORT. The current International Poland Agreement is automatically renewed until 2026 once it has played 55% of team matches in all competitions, which is almost guaranteed given its involvement in 34 of the 37 games until ‘now.
Rather than a simple extension, this new agreement should disseminate the existing Lewandowski salary in 2026 and 2027 to help the club’s precarious finances. There will also be a series of feasible bonuses regarding appearances and objectives to help increase the post revenues.
Barcelona is being renewed with mass contracts. Pedri and Gavi were linked to long -term agreements while the Catalans have pushed out external interests to guarantee the future of Ronald Araujo.
Current Liga leaders were linked to a long -term replacement of Lewandowski. Alexander Isak from Newcastle United and the Sports CP striker Viktor Gyokerres were both highlighted, but the finances involved are likely to be outside the limited mandate of Barcelona.
